Surface preparation
All surfaces must be clean, dry and free from dust or Loose materials. Surface of Non-Oily wood to be bonded should be Smooth and finished so that they fit closely together. Application of Adhesive : An even film of the adhesive is brushed or roller coated on to one of the surfaces to be bonded. Assembly : The parts should be assembled while the adhesive is still wet, the speed at which the adhesive will dry depends upon the porosity and moisture content of Wood, temperature and humidity in the working place when the parts have been assembled a pressure should be applied to the bond while the adhesive sets. When decorative laminate is being bonded to wood, chip board, block board etc. Adhesive is applied to the rigid surface and the laminate is positioned. It must then be loaded into a press and positive pressure must be applied until the adhesive has set.
Application conditions
At a temperature ranging 5°C (41°F) to 40°C (104 °F) . Relative humidity is below 75%.
