Standards and approvals
A Government approved material tested and approved by Local Laboratories and Testing Stations, Kuwait as a water proofing membrane.
Surface preparation
1. Surfaces to be coated should be degreased where necessary to remove grease, oil, soil, dirt and other surface contamination in accordance with SSPC-SP1 Solvent Cleaning. 2. Ensure the surface is free from sand, dust, loosely adhering material, and foreign matters. (Preparing the surface in accordance with SSPC-SP2 and/or SSPC-SP3 Standards in normally adequate). 3. Hair and large cracks should be cleaned and free from sand/loose particles.
Where to use
Intended for two or three coat applications over a thinned down priming coat with water of the same to give a total Dry Film Thickness of not less than 1 mm. (1000 microns/39.4 mils). • METHOD OF APPLICATION: • GTC Getaroof Elastic Roof Coating is possible to apply by Brush, Roller, Squeegee Broom and Airless Spray Machines. • For best results over Concrete, Tiles and other similar porous surfaces it is recommended that first coat is thinned down 25 - 30 % by volume with fresh water and preferably brush applied as this method helps achieving maximum penetration and adhesion into the substrate.
Important restrictions
1. Getaroof Elastic Roof Coating Material can be supplied in a FIBRE REINFORCED finish under the name of Geta-Strength Reinforce Roof coating.. 2. Reinforce roof coating Material is not preferable to be applied when ambient temperature is below 5 aC (41 aF) 3. Below Table demonstrates a recommended and approved System / Scheme by M/S. Cleaning tools
For cleaning tools and equipments use fresh water only.
Application conditions
At a temperature ranging 5 aC (41 aF) to 40 aC (104 aF) . Relative humidity is below 75%.
Storage and handling
Product must be stored as per local regulations and should be kept in dry well ventilated location far from heat and direct sunlight. Can should be tightly closed after use. Mix well before use. Storage temperature range between 5 aC (41 aF) to 40 aC (104 aF).
Safety precautions
The following notes should be considered when using/applying material;- (a) Take precautions to prevent material entering the eyes (goggles should be worn, irrigate the eyes with water when become contaminated and obtain medical care at once). (b) Take precautions to avoid skin contact (gloves should be worn, barrier cream should be used). (c) Ensure that repeated contact of paint with skin is avoided. (d) Provide adequate ventilation. (Face masks must be worn). (e) Keep away from sparks and open flame (for Solvent-based materials).
