A one pack general purpose Oleo-resinous Aluminium Paint based on specially selected Alkyd Resin intended for mid-temperature applications over surfaces reaching up to 315°C.

Surface preparation
[ ] Surfaces to be coated must be dry and clean of all rust, grease, oil dirt, dust ... etc., (in accordance with SSPC-SP1 Solvent Cleaning). [ ] When necessary, priming is to be carried out as follows;- A. Surfaces reaching a maximum of 90 °C;- Primer: GTC Red Oxide Primer / GTC Zinc Phosphate Primer / GTC Red Lead Primers / GTC GTC Zinc Chromate Primer (Non-Ferrous Metals). B. Surfaces reaching a maximum of 315 °C:- Primer: A low thickness coat of Getalac HT315 Mid Temperature Aluminium Finish i.e., 15 microns D.F.T.
Where to use
Intended for a single or two finish coat applications over well prepared steel surfaces.
Mixing and thinning
Material must be properly mixed before use. Thinning is usually not recommended, yet in exceptional circumstances and if necessary use GTC002 Thinner (Max. 10% by volume). [ ] METHOD OF APPLICATION: Recommended for brush and conventional spray applications.
Important restrictions
- Old surfaces where flakes, peeled off coats ... etc. exist must be scraped back to a firm edge, and touch primed with suitable primer as detailed above. - When applying Getalac HT315 Mid Temperature Aluminium Finish to surfaces reaching 315 °C, surface of machinery /equipment should be shut down and then put into operation where gradual heating is carried out. - For application over bare steel, it is recommended to abrasive blast clean to SSPC-SP10 Standard (SA2½ Swedish Standard).
Cleaning tools
For cleaning tools and equipments use GTC002 Thinner.
Application conditions
At a temperature ranging 5°C (41°F) to 40°C (104°F). Relative humidity is below 75%.
Storage and handling
Product must be stored as per local regulations and should be kept in dry well ventilated location far from heat and direct sunlight. Can should be tightly closed after use. Mix well before use. Storage temperature range between 5°C (41°F) to 40°C (104°F).
Safety precautions
The following notes should be considered when using/applying painting material:- (a) Take precautions to prevent material entering the eyes (goggles should be worn, irrigate the eyes with water when become contaminated and obtain medical care at once). (b) Take precautions to avoid skin contact (gloves should be worn, barrier cream should be used). (c) Ensure that repeated contact of paint with skin is avoided. (d) Provide adequate ventilation. (Face masks must be worn). (e) Keep away from sparks and open flames (for solvent-based materials).
