Product description
An advanced quality of Two-pack Polyurethane Clear Coating based on Polyol / Polyisocyanate Resin developed for application over porous surfaces intended for overcoating with self or two-pack heavy duty Epoxy/Polyurethane systems.
Special features
[ ] Excellent penetration and binding properties. [ ] Very tough and quality adherence material. [ ] Easy to apply with extended workability. [ ] Can be used as a primer/finish coat. [ ] Durable film where no long-term overcoating restrictions.
Where to use
As an Interior / Exterior priming/sealing coat as well as decorative and protective finish coat over decorative finishes, heavy duty top coats and a wide range of substrates including Concrete, Asbestos, Wood, previously coated Walls and Masonry, Bricks, Stone ... etc, i.e. [ ] External concrete structure [ ] Internal walls and ceilings [ ] Wooden furniture and panelling [ ] As a clear finish coat over GTC Textured Systems to minimize dust and dirt retention. [ ] Can also be used as a clear finish coat over Getoxy/Getathane Coloured Finishes.

Standards and approvals
Supportive information is available upon request to establish an assessment to be acquired as with regards to product's compliance with/to a particular authority's queries / specifications. Please consult with GTC Technical Service Dept.
Surface preparation
1. Degrease areas where oil, grease and other surface contamination exist in accordance with SSPC-SP1 Solvent Cleaning. (Use GTC002 Thinner). 2. Porous surfaces i.e., concrete, masonry, wood ... etc. should be sound and free from laitance, powdery and foreign material. (Sand papering, wire brushing and/or mechanical power tool cleaning is normally adequate). 3. Surfaces to be coated/overcoated must be dry, clean and free from contamination prior to paint application process.
Where to use
[ ] Intended for two coat applications over a thinned down priming coat of the same over bare and porous surfaces i.e., Concrete, Masonry, Wood ... etc. to obtain a Clear Gloss Polyurethane Finish. [ ] Can also be applied in a single or two coat applications over previously coated decorative / protective coated material i.e., Textured Systems, Getoxy and Getathane Coatings.
Mixing and thinning
Individual components should be separately mixed and then added together according to stated mixing ratio where mixing should be properly done. Thinning with GTC077 Getathane Thinner should be carried out after mixing base with Curing Agent as below table:- Application Method | Brush / Roller | Conv. Spray | Airless Spray Thinning by Vol (% Max.) | 10% | 15% | 5%
Important restrictions
[ ] When applied over itself in a Three Coat System, first coat is to be thinned down 30% by volume; whereas 2nd & 3rd coats are to be thinned down 15% by volume with recommended thinner. [ ] Can also be applied directly over Metal Surfaces (Ferrous & Non-ferrous) providing excellent adhesion characteristics ... etc. i.e., Mild Steel, Zinc Coated Steel, Copper, Aluminium ... etc.
Cleaning tools
For cleaning tools and equipments use GTC077 Getathane Thinner.
Application conditions
At a temperature ranging 5°C (41°F) to 40°C (104°F). Relative humidity is below 75%.
Storage and handling
Product must be stored as per local regulations and should be kept in dry well ventilated location far from heat and direct sunlight. Can should be tightly closed after use. Mix well before use. Storage temperature range between 5°C (41°F) to 40°C (104°F).
Safety precautions
The following notes should be considered when using/applying painting material:- (a) Take precautions to prevent material entering the eyes (goggles should be worn, irrigate the eyes with water when become contaminated and obtain medical care at once). (b) Take precautions to avoid skin contact (gloves should be worn, barrier cream should be used). (c) Ensure that repeated contact of paint with skin is avoided. (d) Provide adequate ventilation. (Face masks must be worn). (e) Keep away from sparks and open flames (for solvent-based materials).
