Porous surfaces i.e., concrete, masonry ... etc should be sound and free from laitance, powdery and foreign material. (Wire brushing and/or power tool cleaning is normally adequate in accordance with SSPC-SP2 and/or SSPC-SP3 Standards). 4. Non-ferrous surfaces i.e., Aluminium, copper, nickle ... etc. should be degreased and free from contamination. No pre-treatment is required.
