Product description
A two-pack, High Build and High Performance Polyamide-cured Epoxy Coating intended for application as an Intermediate or Finish coat over Steel Structure as well as Concrete Substrates in New Construction and Maintenance & Repair Projects.
Special features
☐ High film build offering additional protection to steel / concrete surfaces in a single coat application. ☐ Can be used over a wide range of two pack Epoxy Primers where resistance against fumes and spillages of mild acids and alkalies is anticipated. ☐ Perfectly suitable for over application with Epoxy, Polyurethane and Conventional Paints. ☐ Provides a hard and tough film with a very good abrasion resistance. ☐ Exterior durability and resistance to aggressive environments. ☐ Can be used as an Intermediate Coat in Epoxy/Polyurethane Protective Coating System(s) where extended overcoating intervals are anticipated.
Where to use
As a protective and decorative Intermediate and/or Finish Coat over Externally / Internally exposed steel and concrete surfaces in aggressive environments i.e., ☐ Tank External Surfaces ☐ Power Plants & Refinery Structures ☐ Structural Steel ☐ Petrochemical Plants ☐ Objects subjected to transit and handling damage

Standards and approvals
Supportive information is available upon request to establish an assessment to be acquired as with regards to product's compliance with/to a particular authority's queries / specifications. Please consult with GTC Technical Service Dept.
Surface preparation
1. Degrease areas where grease, oil, soil and surface contamination exist in accordance with SSPC-SP1 Solvent Cleaning. (Use GTC002 Thinner). 2. Ensure priming coat is dry, clean and free from dust and other contaminations. 3. Areas where corrosion and rusting are experienced should be prepared in accordance with Specification Requirements of selected anti-corrosive priming and intermediate coats.
Where to use
Intended for a single or two high build application coats over well prepared and suitably primed steel and concrete surfaces.
Mixing and thinning
Material must be properly mixed and is recommended for thinning with GTC099 Thinner as per below table:- Application Method | Brush/ Roller | Conv. Spray | Airless Spray Thinning by Vol (% Max.) | 10 % | 15% | 5 %
Important restrictions
♦ For maximum performance, curing temperatures should be above 10 °C (50 °F) since material will not adequately cure below 5 °C (41 °F). ♦ Two pack epoxies are commonly known to chalk upon external exposure. ♦ It is not recommended to apply two pack epoxy material over 50 °C (122 °F). ♦ For overcoating with conventional paints over coat after 16-24 hours. ♦ Brush and roller application is intended for confined areas only; whereas multi-coats will be required to achieve recommended D.F.T. using Conventional Spray Equipment.
Cleaning tools
For cleaning tools and equipments use GTC099 Thinner.
Application conditions
At a temperature ranging 5°C (41°F) to 40°C (104 °F) . Relative humidity is below 75%.
Storage and handling
Product must be stored as per local regulations and should be kept in dry well ventilated location far from heat and direct sunlight. Can should be tightly closed after use. Mix well before use. Storage temperature range between 5°C (41°F) to 40°C (104 °F).
Safety precautions
The following notes should be considered when using/applying painting material:- (a) Take precautions to prevent material entering the eyes (goggles should be worn, irrigate the eyes with water when become contaminated and obtain medical care at once). (b) Take precautions to avoid skin contact (gloves should be worn, barrier cream should be used). (c) Ensure that repeated contact of paint with skin is avoided. (d) Provide adequate ventilation. (Face masks must be worn). (e) Keep away from sparks and open flames (for solvent-based materials).
