Surface preparation
1. Degrease areas where grease, oil, soil and surface contamination exist in accordance with SSPC-SP1 Solvent Cleaning. (Use GTC002 Thinner). 2. Wire brush/mechanical power tool clean areas where laitance, surface porosity and loosely adhering foreign material exist in accordance with SSPC-SP2 and/or SSPC-SP3 Standards. 3. Surfaces to be coated must be dry, clean and contamination free prior to paint application process.
Where to use
1. Clear Finish: As a two or three coat application; First coat to be thinned down 30% by volume with recommended thinner to act as a primer sealer coat; whereas Second & Third coats to be thinned down up to 20% by volume only. 2. Coloured Finish: As a single priming/sealing coat only, thinned down 20% by volume to act as a primer/sealer and to be overcoated with a selected range of Getoxy material as well as Getathane Recoatable Polyurethane Finishes ... etc.
Mixing and thinning
Material must be properly mixed and is recommended for thinning with GTC099 Thinner. [ ] METHOD OF APPLICATIONS: GTC Getoxy (GES/GEC024) Epoxy Clear Sealer can be applied by Brush, Roller, Conventional and Airless Spray Equipments/Machinery.
Important restrictions
For best results over porous surfaces Brush Applications is recommended as this method helps achieving maximum penetration and adhesion into the substrate.
Cleaning tools
For cleaning tools and equipments use GTC099 Thinner.
Application conditions
At a temperature ranging 5°C (41°F) to 40°C (104 °F). Relative humidity is below 75%.
Storage and handling
Product must be stored as per local regulations and should be kept in dry well ventilated location far from heat and direct sunlight. Can should be tightly closed after use. Mix well before use. Storage temperature range between 5°C (41°F) to 40°C (104 °F).
