GTC Adobe decorative coating will remind you of the huts and haciendas of rural Maxico and Latin America. GTC Adobe is a water based heavily structured decorative paste which offers aesthetic beauty and excellent exterior properties. It may be applied at any thickness without cracking or shrinking. Over-coating with Hi-Shade colour coat will give the final required appearance.

Important restrictions
Coverage with decorative pastes has to be established by trails due to the wide variation in the patterns possible.

Surface preparation
NEW SURFACES :- 1. Degrease areas where grease, oil, soil and other surface contamination exist in accordance with SSPC-SP1 Solvent Cleaning. (Use GTC002 Thinner). 2. Wire Brush/Mechanical Power Tool Clean areas where laitance, surface porosity and loosely adhering foreign material exist in accordance with SSPC-SP2 and/or SSPC-SP3 Standards 3. Surfaces to be coated must be dry, clean and contamination free prior to paint application process. OLD/PREVIOUSLY PAINTED SURFACES :- 1. Degrease areas where grease, oil and other surface contamination exist in accordance with SSPC-SP1 Solvent Cleaning. (Use GTC002 Thinner). 2. Remove all blistered, cracked and brittle paint coats off the surface. 3. Detached coats with inadequate adhesion must be properly scraped-off to a firm edge. 4. Glossy paint coatings must be sanded/roughened to ensure proper intercoat adhesion characteristics with successive paint coatings. 5. Surfaces to be coated must be dry, clean and contamination free prior to paint application process.
Application details
Application to be done by stainless steel trowel followed by plastic trowel for structuring. OVER-COATING :- After complete drying of the applied Adobe coating apply 2 coats of N. Drip Medium Gloss of the required shade. After complete drying apply Hi Shade colour coat to produce the characteristic final appearance.
Application conditions
At a temperature ranging 5 daC (41 daF) to 40 daC (104 daF) . Relative humidity is below 75%.
Storage and handling
Product must be stored as per local regulations and should be kept in dry well ventilated location far from heat and direct sunlight. Can should be tightly closed after use. Mix well before use. Storage temperature range between 5 daC (41 daF) to 40 daC (104 daF).
Safety precautions
The following notes should be considered when using/applying painting material:- (a) Take precautions to prevent material entering the eyes (goggles should be worn, irrigate the eyes with water when become contaminated and obtain medical care at once). (b) Take precautions to avoid skin contact (gloves should be worn, barrier cream should be used. (c) Ensure that repeated contact of paint with skin is avoided. (d) Provide adequate ventilation. (Face masks must be worn). (e) Keep away from sparks and open flames (for solvent-based materials).
