A high quality water-borne Exterior Pore Filler based on a blend of Acrylic Copolymers blended with special pigments and extenders, formulated to suit the extreme exterior conditions of the Gulf Area.
Special features
• Ready for use; no mixing required on site. • Easy to sand and provides a smooth surface/finish. • Dries to form a surface tolerant and compatible with substrates with all types of conventional paints. • Does not shrink or crack . • Non-toxic & Non-flammable. • Very good hiding power, providing a sound and absorbtive coat. • Can also be used as grain filler for wood board. • Can be provided with fibre for extreme service.

As an Exterior Pore Filler and putty material over a variety of new and old substrates i.e., • Concrete Structure. • Fairface Concrete. • Gypsum Boards/Plaster Boards.

FINISH : MATT. COLOUR : White to Off-White. VOLUME SOLID : 50 %. PRODUCT WEIGHT : 1.6 KG/LTR. REC.FILM THICKNESS : UP to 400 microns per application. THEO. COVERAGE : Approx.20m2/kg. depending upon applied thickness. Practical coverage primarily depends upon nature/degree of surface porosity, method of application and site conditions. FLASH POINT : Non-flammable (water-borne product).

Important restrictions
* Allow 6 hours before applying Latex Emulsion Paint. - If oil or synthetic paints to be used extend the overcoating time to 24 hours.
Surface preparation
All surfaces must be clean, dry and free from dust, oil, greasy, mould, mildew or loosely adhering materials ... etc .
Where to use
Intended for two or three coat applications over suitably sealed/primed surfaces. (Prime with Acrylic Sealer or Acrylic Emulsion).
Mixing and thinning
Material is ready for use; no thinning is required. • METHOD OF APPLICATION: GTC Exterior Pore Filler can be applied by hand trowel, putty knife and steel scraper.
Important restrictions
Apply the material in successive thin layers. Sanding is to be carried between layers after a minimum of 5-6 hrs. to achieve perfect smoothness and adhesion. Do not exceed Recommended Film Thickness as this will result in poor adhesion, cracking and weakening of the applied painting system. It is recommended to remove old paint layers before application of GTC Acrylic Putty. (Glossy surfaces should be roughened until gloss fades away).
Cleaning tools
For cleaning tools & equipments use fresh water only.
Application conditions
At a temperature ranging 5°C (41°F) to 40°C (104 °F) . Relative humidity is below 75%.
Storage and handling
Product must be stored as per local regulations and should be kept in dry well ventilated location far from heat and direct sunlight. Can should be tightly closed after use. Mix well before use. Storage temperature range between 5°C (41°F) to 40°C (104 °F).
Standards and approvals
GTC Exterior Pore Filler has been passed as suitable for usage as a wall putty in Kuwait by the Government Laboratories and Testing Stations.
Safety precautions
The following notes should be considered when using/applying material:- (a) Take precautions to prevent material entering the eyes (goggles should be worn, irrigate the eyes with water when become contaminated and obtain medical care at once). (b) Take precautions to avoid skin contact (gloves should be worn, barrier cream should be used). (c) Ensure that repeated contact of paint with skin is avoided. (d) Provide adequate ventilation. (Face masks must be worn). (e) Keep away from sparks and open flame (for Solvent-based materials).
