A distinctive structured rendering based on Acrylic Copolymer reinforced with high quality aggregates, designed to be applied by Trowel to give various textured finishes, offering a cost effective alternative solution against using expensive exterior decorations.

Surface preparation
New Surfaces :- 1. Degrease areas where grease, oil, soil and other surface contamination exist in accordance with SSPC-SP1 Solvent Cleaning . (Use GTC002 Thinner). 2. Wire Brush/Mechanical Power Tool Clean areas where laitance, surface porosity and loosely adhering foreign material exist in accordance with SSPC-SP2 and/or SSPC-SP3 Standards. 3. Surfaces to be coated must be dry, clean and contamination free prior to paint application process. OLD/PREVIOUSLY PAINTED SURFACES :- 1. Degrease areas where grease, oil and other surface contamination exist in accordance with SSPC-SP1 Solvent Cleaning. (Use GTC002 Thinner). 2. Remove all blistered, cracked and brittle paint coats off the surface. 3. Detached coats with inadequate adhesion must be properly scraped-off to a firm edge. 4. Glossy paint coatings must be sanded/roughened to ensure proper intercoat adhesion characteristics with successive paint coatings. 5. Surfaces to be coated must be dry, clean and contamination free prior to paint application process.
Mixing and thinning
Material must be properly mixed before use and thinning is not recommended. • METHOD OF APPLICATION: Intended for a single coat application using a Trowel over well prepared, primed and undercoated surfaces as follows;- • RECOMMENDED PRIMER/SEALER: 1. GTC Acrylic Sealer (thinned 50-100% by volume with fresh water). 2. GTC Textured Primer (thinned 25% by volume with fresh water) (Refer to individual data sheet for additional information). 3. GTC P.Synthetic Sealer (thinned 25% by volume with GTC002 Thinner).
Important restrictions
Due to severe dust conditions in Kuwait, this product will retain dust and dirt causing discoloured appearance; therefore, in order to overcome the discolouring problem and also to enhance product properties, it is recommended to apply a protective / decorative coat of the following:- A. Getathane Recoatable Polyurethane Finish (White or selective colours). B. GTC Acrylic Guard Finish (White or selective colours). C. Getashine Acrylic Emulsion Paint (White or selective colours). • TROWEL APPLICATION: 1. Apply a single thick coat of Trowtex with stainless trowel. 2. Use plastic trowel for structuring while still wet moving the plastic trowel in a round and/or straight movement giving a selection of required finish.

Application conditions
At a temperature ranging 5°C (41°F) to 40°C (104°F). Relative humidity is below 75%.
Storage and handling
Product must be stored as per local regulations and should be kept in dry well ventilated location far from heat and direct sunlight. Packing should be tightly closed after use. Mix well before use. Storage temperature range between 5°C (41°F) to 40°C (104°F).
Standards and approvals
GTC Trowtex Textured Paint is formulated according to FEDERAL SPECIFICATIONS TTC-555B and has been passed as suitable for use in Kuwait by Government Laboratories and Testing Stations.
Safety precautions
The following notes should be considered when using/applying painting material:- (a) Take precautions to prevent material entering the eyes (goggles should be worn, irrigate the eyes with water when become contaminated and obtain medical care at once). (b) Take precautions to avoid skin contact (gloves should be worn, barrier cream should be used). (c) Ensure that repeated contact of product t with skin is avoided. (d) Provide adequate ventilation. (Face masks must be worn). (e) Keep away from sparks and open flames (for solvent-based materials).
